Smart Upgrade

Hello,

Yes SmartUpgrade is a blessing and a curse.

My suggestion is to read all guides at thenewdominoadmin.com, see this http://www.thenewdominoadmin.com/blog/?p=1445

Also try to do a bat-file that first run the nice.exe to remove old version. This bat-file is the file that you trigger from SmartUpgrade.

Example of bat-file that install notes, fixpack, quickr connector and upgrade pack 1. Try start with just the nice.exe and installation of notes.

SET FILESPATH=%~dps0
taskkill.exe /f /im dimon.exe
time /t
nice.exe -rp /qb
time /t
call msiexec.exe /i "%FILESPATH%Lotus Notes 8.5.3.msi" TRANSFORMS="%FILESPATH%Install.mst" ALLUSERS="1" ADDLOCAL="ALL" ADDFEATURES="SametimeUI,Feedreader" SETMULTIUSER="1" /qb-!
time /t
call msiexec.exe /i "%FILESPATH%upgradepack1\Notes853UpgradePack1.msi" /qb-!
time /t
"%FILESPATH%fixpack1\setup.exe" -s /s /v"/qb-!"
time /t
"%FILESPATH%quickrconnector\qkrconn.exe" /install /quiet /norestart ADDLOCAL=WindowsExplorer,MicrosoftOffice,LotusNotes
time /t
